OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE AN ENTRANT’S CHANCES OF WINNING.

Open to women who are legal residents of the contiguous 48 United States and Washington D.C., who are 18 years of age and older at the time of entry.

  1. HOW TO ENTER A NOMINATION: Voices 2007 Campaign begins at 12:01 A.M. E.D.T. July 1, 2007 and ends at 11:59 P.M., E.D.T. October 31, 2007 ("Campaign Period"). A) MAIL-IN ENTRIES: First: Complete an Official Nomination Form that you may obtain either: (1) in Figure Magazine; or (2)by visiting www.catherines.com, www.fashionbug.com, www.lanebryant.com, www.figuremagazine.com, or www.montelshow.com and following the instructions to download an Official Nomination Form; or (3) by creating an Official Nomination Form by hand-printing or typing the words "Official Nomination Form" on an 8˝” x 11” sheet of paper; Second: Neatly handprint or type, on an 8˝” x 11” sheet of paper, your name, complete address, daytime and evening phone numbers, date of birth, the name and address of the woman who is your nominee to be one of the five winners of the Voices 2007 Campaign (you may nominate yourself), an original nomination essay (“Essay”) not to exceed 300 words describing your nominee's leadership, efforts, challenges, and accomplishments in creating a positive change in her community; and, Third: Mail the abovementioned document(s) in a properly stamped #10 envelope (9.5” x 4.125”) to: Nominations - Voices 2007 Campaign, 450 Winks Lane, Bensalem, PA 19020. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by October 31, 2007 and received by November 5, 2007; B) ON-LINE ENTRIES: You may also enter by going to www.catherines.com, www.fashionbug.com, www.lanebryant.com, www.figuremagazine.com, or www.montelshow.com; completing the registration information requested on the website; and following the instructions to submit your Essay via the Web. On-line registrations and Essays must be submitted prior to 11:59 P.M., E.D.T., October 31, 2007. Limit: One entry/Essay per person regardless of method of entry. All entries and Essays (collectively, “Submissions”), regardless of method of entry, become property of Charming Shoppes of Delaware, Inc. (“Sponsor”) and will not be returned or acknowledged.
  2. JUDGING. All Essays will be judged by a panel comprised of representatives of Sponsor and MONTEL, based on the following criteria: (a) the contribution the nominee has made to the nominee's community – 50%; (b) challenges overcome and efforts expended by nominee in making the contribution – 25%: and (c) its inspiration to other women – 25%. The nominees named in the five (5) highest scoring Essays will be deemed to be the five Winners of the Voices 2007 Campaign. The five Voices 2007 Winners ("Winners") will travel to New York City as described in Rule 4 below where they will appear on MONTEL. Judging will occur on or about November 5, 2007. Potential Winners will be notified by mail on or about November 15, 2007. Decisions of judges are final. In the event of a tie, the judges will determine the winning Essay based on the highest score received for criteria (a) above.
  3. ESSAY REQUIREMENTS: Each Essay must be entrant's own original creation. Essay may not have been published previously or won any other contest, prize or award; may not currently be submitted in another promotion; and the right to submit it in this promotion must not be restricted. Essay cannot defame or violate publicity rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person's personal or proprietary rights. No reproduced, illegible, incoherent, incomplete, vulgar or otherwise offensive or distasteful Essay will be accepted. Sponsor not responsible for typographical errors, omitted words or any other errors in Submissions. Non-complying Submissions will be disqualified. By entering, each entrant grants to Sponsor all rights to content of her Essay and the concepts embodied therein. Entrants unconditionally assign and transfer to Sponsor all rights, title, and interest, including copyright and other intellectual property interests, in whole and in part, which they now have or may in the future have to the submitted Essay and/or any element(s) therein including, without limitation, its use for advertising, publicity, promotion, or in commerce and in any and all media worldwide without limitation and without payment or consideration to the entrant. Sponsor shall have the right to edit, modify, publish, use, alter, assign, transfer or dispose of such Essays however it sees fit without approval of entrants. Winners agree that personal information may be used in connection with the Campaign. Acceptance of prize by Winner constitutes permission to use Winner’s name and/or likeness, biographical information, photograph, worldwide in any medium without limitation, for advertising/promotion purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. By entering, entrants agree that they have no right to, and agree not to, bring any claim, action, or proceeding of any kind or nature against Sponsor or its affiliated companies, subsidiaries, agents, employees, or shareholders, or MONTEL in connection with this Campaign. Entrants shall not receive any compensation or credit for use of Essays, other than as stated in these Official Rules.
  4. PRIZES (5):The five (5) Winners will each receive a trip for two (2) to New York City where they will appear, on MONTEL on a January 2008 date to be determined by Sponsor and MONTEL. Trip will consist of round trip coach airfare for two (2) from the major airport nearest each Winner's home, 2 nights/3 days hotel accommodations (std. room dbl. occup.); and ground transportation between airport and hotel. ARV of each trip: $2,000 depending on city of origin. The five (5) Winner’s will also receive a four day “Dream Come True” vacation for four (4) to Walt Disney World® Resort near Orlando, Florida, consisting of round-trip coach airfare for four (4) from the major airport nearest each Winner’s home, 3 nights/4 days accommodations at Walt Disney World® Resort (std. room quad occup.); transportation between the Walt Disney World® Resort and the Orlando International Airport via Disney’s Magical Express Motor Coach Service; four (4) “Magic Your Way” Theme Park Tickets for four(4) days; one unique “Disney Dream” experience. “Disney Dream” experiences are individual opportunities that are determined and awarded at the discretion of Sponsor. ARV of each “Dream Come True” vacation: $4,998. Estimated per person round-trip coach airfare is $500 depending on city of origin. All “Dream Come True” vacations are to be taken by February 1, 2009. Vacation fulfillment is subject to hotel availability at the Walt Disney World® Resort. “Dream Come True” vacations are for the winning person and three (3) guests of the winner’s choosing. “Dream Come True” vacation may not be sold, traded, transferred or rescheduled to dates other than the dates provided by Disney. The five (5) Winners will each receive a $250 Gift Card to use on a shopping spree at her choice of Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug, Catherines or Petite Sophisticate. Additionally, Sponsor will donate $20,000 to the Section 501(c)(3) organization designated by each of the five (5) Voices 2007 Campaign Winners in their honor. (Total Value of All Donations: $100,000). All other costs and expenses not specified herein, e.g. meals, beverages, mini-bar, room service, laundry service, alcoholic beverages, local or long distance telephone calls, snacks, gratuities, insurance, personal expenses, souvenirs, all Federal, state, and local taxes, etc. are each Winner’s sole responsibility. All trip arrangements will be as determined by Sponsor. Prizes are not transferable or substitutable except by Sponsor with one of equal or greater value; nor are they redeemable for cash. Winners must be able to travel and appear on MONTEL on the dates specified by Sponsor or Prize will be forfeited in its entirety, and time allowing, Sponsor will select another potential Winner. All Prizes will be awarded provided that the panel of judges determines there are a sufficient number of eligible entries.
  5. ELIGIBILITY:Open to women who are legal residents of the contiguous 48 United States and Washington D.C., who are 18 years of age and older at the time of entry. Employees (and members of their household or immediate families, i.e. spouse, parent, child, or sibling) of Sponsor, its subsidiaries, affiliates, representatives, agencies, vendors and any other entities or individuals associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter and/or win. Winners must sign and return a properly executed Affidavit of Compliance/Eligibility & Publicity/Liability Release (except where prohibited by law) within time period stated in letter of notification or, time allowing, Sponsor will select another potential Winner, as determined according to the criteria stated in Rule 2 above.
  6. INTERNET:Sponsor, and the officers, directors, and employees of its subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, and agents and representatives (Sponsor, et al.). are not responsible for interrupted or unavailable network server, browser, or other connections, miscommunications, failed telephone or computer transmissions or jumbled, scrambled or misdirected entries or transmissions, or for phone, electrical, network, computer hardware or software or program malfunctions, failures or difficulties or for other errors, omissions, interruptions, or deletions of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic or for any damage to any person's computer related to participating in the promotion. Sponsor, et al. are not responsible for illegible, unintelligible, late, lost or stolen entries or incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the promotion or by any technical or human errors which may occur in the processing of any entries in this promotion. Persons found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this promotion, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and may be subject to prosecution. Any entrant who attempts to enter with multiple e-mail addresses, under multiple identities or uses any other device or artifice to enter multiple times, will be disqualified from participation in the Contest. If, in the judgment of Sponsor, for any reason the on-line portion of the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the on-line portion of this Campaign, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the on-line portion of this Campaign. Sponsor may, without notice, disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process. Any personally identifiable information collected during your participation in this promotion will be collected by Sponsor and used by Sponsor and its agents solely for purposes of the proper administration and fulfillment of this Campaign as described in these Official Rules and will not be shared with any third party except as allowed by law and Sponsor's and MONTEL's respective Privacy Policies as stated at http://www.charmingshoppes.com/privacypolicy.asp and http://www.montelshow.com/privacy.htm. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON (S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. This promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. The interpretation of these Official Rules shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any and all disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania exclusively, and subject to the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Should there be a conflict between the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and any other laws, the conflict will be resolved in favor of the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  7. GENERAL:By participating in the Campaign, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor that are final and binding in all matters and all respects relating to this promotion. Entrants agree that Sponsor, et al. shall have no liability nor shall such parties be responsible for illegible, damaged, lost, late, stolen, postage due, incomplete, undeliverable or misdirected Submissions and/or mail. Each Winner additionally agrees that Sponsor, et al. and MONTEL shall have no liability nor shall such parties be responsible for any damages or injuries, whether personal or property, arising out of or due to or in connection with the acceptance, traveling to or from, enjoyment, participation in, operation, or use/misuse of any Prize awarded or entry submitted herein and any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy and acknowledge that said parties have neither made, nor are in any manner responsible for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the Prizes. Sponsor reserves the right to re-schedule the dates of the Voices 2007 judging, if due to circumstances beyond its control. Sponsor, et al. is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information provided by entrants. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without compensation to entrants, to discontinue, suspend or terminate this Campaign if it determines that there are an insufficient number of eligible Submissions. Void in AK, HI, P.R. and where prohibited. All Federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
  8. WINNERS LIST: For a list of the Voices 2007 Winners, either visit www.figuremagazine.com or send a self-addressed stamped envelope after February 1, 2008 and before February 29, 2008 to: Winners - Voices 2007, 450 Winks Lane, Bensalem, PA 19020.
